targetAPI Launches Next-Generation Behavioral Targeting Solution

New York, New York – December 2, 2009 – targetAPI, an incubator project of investment company Ambient Sound Investments, has launched its next-generation business-to-business behavioral targeting solution. The service, available through an API (Application Programming Interface), is based on the company’s predictive personalization technology.  targetAPI’s solution predicts a user's interests in real time through an automated semantic analysis of publicly available information on the web, requiring minimal or no input from the user.

 

The power of targetAPI’s technology was most recently demonstrated through the launch of the DailyPerfect.com showcase news application.  DailyPerfect uses targetAPI's technology to make predictions about its reader’s interests and deliver a personalized news feed to them based on those interests.

When a user first arrives at DailyPerfect.com, they are asked one simple question – “what is your name?” With the answer to that question and nothing else, targetAPI’s proprietary technology analyzes each user’s digital footprint and derives a profile of their interests within seconds. DailyPerfect uses this profile to scan through thousands of news feeds from around the world and instantly generate a news site that is personalized for each user.  The resulting personalized content experience has led to increased usage, longer sessions and improved customer loyalty.

The release of targetAPI’s targeting solution through an API empowers every publisher, advertising network, direct marketer and e-commerce provider to utilize the company’s unique behavioral targeting service to positively impact their click-through rates, content relevancy, conversions and revenue.
